Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in Ellesmere Port are appealing for information and footage from members of the public.
At around 11pm on Saturday 31 August three men brandishing weapons broke into a house in Stokesay Court.
Wearing all dark clothing and balaclavas to conceal their identities, the offenders assaulted one of the occupiers, a man, and demanded cash and jewellery.
Another occupier, a woman, managed to flee the address and get to safety.
At that point the offenders fled in an unknown direction with a watch they stole during the burglary.
Nothing else was taken from the house.
The offenders looked to be in their early 20s. One of them was around 5’ 6” tall and the others were approximately three inches taller.
One of the offenders had pale skin and blue eyes.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and detectives are urging anyone with any information or footage regarding the offenders to come forward.
Detective Constable Joe Duckworth, of Ellesmere Port CID, said: “This was a frightening incident that has understandable left the victims extremely shaken up.
“During the aggravated burglary they were threatened with violence and one of them, a man, was assaulted and sustained minor injuries.
“I would like to reassure the community that this is believed to be an isolated incident and we are doing everything we can to establish the identities of the offenders and bring them to justice.
“Enquiries are ongoing and I urge anyone who was in the area and believes that they may have seen the offenders, either before they broke into the house or as they were fleeing the scene, to contact the team here at Ellesmere Port CID.
“The same goes for anyone who believes that they may know who the offenders are, or have CCTV or dashcam footage of them.”
