Investigation continues following serious assault in Nantwich Date published: 4th January 2019 12.36pm

Officers investigating a serious assault at a nightclub in Nantwich are continuing with their enquiries.

The incident occurred at Nakatcha on Welsh Row shortly after 2am on Thursday 27 December 2018.

During the incident four men – three aged 22 and one aged 24 – were assaulted by a group of males.

The victims sustained a number of injuries and were taken to Leighton Hospital for treatment.

All of the men have since been discharged.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and detectives are urging anyone with information that may help their investigation to come forward.

Detective Inspector Claire Jesson said: “This was a serious incident and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace the people responsible and bring them to justice.

“Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are currently examining a large amount of CCTV footage from the nightclub and speaking to a number of witnesses who have come forward.

A 20-year-old man from Crewe was arrested on Friday 28 December on suspicion of assault in relation to the incident. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
