Police appeal for information after burglary in Ellesmere Port Date published: 4th October 2019 11.38am

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at an address in Sutton Way, Ellesmere Port.

Sometime between 10.30am and 2.40pm on Monday 30 September 2019, thieves gained access to the address and stole a safe which contained cash as well as personal documents including passports.

DC Iain Ross said: “Even though the victims were not at home at the time they are particularly shaken up by the burglary which goes to show that this type of crime is not just about having items stolen, it takes a significant emotional toll on a person.

“I would urge anyone with information about the burglary or who may have seen a small digital safe discarded to contact police to help us find those responsible.”

Anyone with information should contact DC Iain Ross on 101 or via https://www.cheshire.police.uk/contact/general-enquiries/ quoting IML 527083.

Alternatively information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers.
