Winsford serious road traffic collision appeal for witnesses Date published: 25th February 2019 3.36pm

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious collision in Winsford on Saturday 23 February.

 

Shortly after 11am two cars, a red Toyota Yaris and a blue Vauxhall Viva, and a blue motorbike were involved in a collision on Chester Lane near to the junction with Blakeden Lane.

 

The rider of the motorbike, a 27-year-old local man, was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital with serious injuries. He sadly died in hospital yesterday (Sunday 24 February) evening.

 

The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist police officers.

 

Sergeant Nick Rogers said: “I want to appeal to anyone who hasn’t yet come forward with information to get in touch with us by calling 101 and quoting IML 330276.”
