Appeal following arson in Warrington Date published: 19th April 2017 10.17am

Officers are appealing for information from the public after arsonists targeted a caravan in Bewsey.

At approximately 4.45am on Sunday 16 April officers were called to reports of caravan fire at the rear of a Tattoo studio on Folly Lane, Warrington.

Officers swiftly attended the scene, along with colleagues from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, and the fire was found to be well alight and had spread to a nearby van and garage.

Investigating Officer DC Dean Hough said: “Thankfully nobody was injured as a result of the fire. However, the fire totally destroyed both the van and the caravan and also caused substantial damage to the garage and contents.

“Arson is a serious crime and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace the person, or persons,  responsible for the incident.

“We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry and as part of the investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or anyone that can offer information about the incident.”
