CCTV released of man wanted in relation to theft Date published: 17th February 2016 11.18am

Officers from Warrington Policing team have released CCTV pictures of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the theft of over £4000 worth of watches.

At approximately 12.10 on Saturday 16th January a white man entered Beaverbrooks in Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington. After entering the store the man approached the counter where he requested to try on a Tag Heuer Monaco watch, valued at almost £2500, and a Tag Heuer Carrera watch, valued at £1850.

Whilst the man was trying on the second watch he reached over the counter and grabbed the wrist of the sales assistant and took the tray out of her hand, before leaving the store with both watches. After leaving the store the man made off in the direction of Warrington Bus Station.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late teens, early twenties, of a slim build with long brown hair and a local accent. At the time of the incident he was wearing blue trainers, blue jeans and a blue zip-up jacket.
