Cheshire police warn Crewe residents following theft of fireworks Date published: 5th November 2015 7.09pm

Cheshire Police are issuing a urgent warning tonight concerning the theft of two boxes of industrial size display fireworks.

The fireworks were stolen this evening from a vehicle on Queens Park Gardens in Crewe and are called Ariel Bombs.  Display fireworks, in untrained hands, can be potentially life threatening to those attempting to ignite them in addition to posing a threat to public safety.

Members of the public are being urged to contact Cheshire Police immediately if they have any information about the theft of the fireworks.  Cheshire Police are also warning members of the public to be vigilant about their safety  when they are out this evening and if they are approached or hear about anyone trying to sell display fireworks on the streets to contact them immediately on the emergency 999 number.
