Crewe man charged following aggravated burglary in Leighton Date published: 6th September 2019 11am

Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in Leighton, near Crewe, have charged a 41-year-old man in connection with the incident.

Lee Moss was arrested at his home in Ardene Avenue, Crewe, at around 10pm yesterday, Thursday 5 September.

He has subsequently been charged with aggravated burglary.

The charge relates to an incident which occurred in Bodnant Close, Leighton, at around 9.15pm on Wednesday 28 August.

It saw a homeowner threatened at knifepoint and have cash and a mobile phone stolen by a man who had knocked on his door claiming to be a takeaway deliverer.

Moss appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Friday 6 September.

He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday 4 October.
