As part of Operation Impact officers from Ellesmere Port and Neston Local Policing Unit yesterday conducted four drugs raids in Neston.
The warrants were conducted at addresses on Ringway, Stanton Court and two homes on Shakespeare Road. As a result of the operation two men, both age 32, and one woman, age 29, were arrested. Officers also recovered a large quantity of Class B drugs (Cannabis) and a quantity of cash.
One man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs, whilst the second man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs (Cannabis). The woman was arrested on suspicion of production of a controlled Class B drug.
The two men have been released on police bail and are due to report back to police on 28th October 2016. The 29-year-old woman was issued with an adult caution.
Chief Inspector Sarah Pengelly from Ellesmere Port and Neston Local Policing, said: “The corrosive effect that drug abuse and associated criminality has on our communities is well known, and we are committed to tackling the problem and targeting those involved.
“Operation Impact reinforces our commitment targeting those people that undermine our communities and bring misery to residents through their involvement in organised crime and illegal drugs. Following the warrants there will be an increased police presence in the Neston area to reassure local residents.”
