Officers from Crewe have arrested seven people as part of a two-day operation targeting county lines drug dealing in the town.
Three men were arrested after officers conducted a search of an address in Gresty Road at around 4.40pm on Tuesday 11 June.
Two of the men – Thomas Wilson, of Cottesbrook Place, Liverpool, and Barry McWilliams, of Derrington Avenue, Crewe – have since been charged with class A drugs offences.
Wilson, 34, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of a class A drug while McWilliams, 37, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (heroin and cocaine).
The other man who was arrested, a 45-year-old from Crewe, has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
The following day, at around 4pm, three people were arrested at a hotel on Sydney Road after officers acted on information received.
The two men and one woman have all since been charged with class A drugs offences.
Aaron Owens, of Finch Lane, Liverpool, and Josh Donnelly and Amy Wilson, both of Hollow Croft, Stockbridge Village, Knowsley, have each been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine).
Donnelly has also been charged with possessing criminal property.
Alexandra Scarlett, of no fixed address, was also arrested in Crewe on Wednesday 12 June as part of the investigation.
She has since been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine) and one count of possessing criminal property.
Wilson and McWilliams both appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Thursday 13 June.
They were remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 11 July.
Owens, 21, Donnelly, 23, Wilson, 24, and Scarlett, 29, have all also been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 14 June.
