Tribute issued following fatal collision in Widnes Date published: 22nd July 2019 4.03pm

The family of a 75-year-old man who died following a collision in Widnes have paid tribute to him.

Owen Batty passed away on Monday 15 July following a collision on Derby Road, near to Mill Lane.

The incident involved a grey BMW X1, being driven by Mr Batty, and a silver Nissan Note.

Following Mr Batty’s death his family have now issued the following tribute: “Owen was a gentle man with a brilliant sense of humour.

“He will be truly missed by his family and everyone who ever knew him.”

Mr Batty’s funeral will be held at Widnes Crematorium at 12pm on Friday 26 July. Family flowers only and any donations are to be made to North West Air Ambulance.
