Tribute to man kiled in Congleton collision Date published: 25th May 2018 2.32pm

Family members have paid tribute to a man who died in a road traffic collision in Congleton yesterday (Thursday 24 March).

The incident happened at around 6.55pm on Reades Lane and involved a tractor and a motorbike. Sadly the motorcyclist, local man Rick Hardingham, aged 56, died at the scene.

A statement issued by the family says: “Words can’t express the feeling of absolute devastation as the sudden loss of Rick. He was much loved by so many people but at this time the family request a period of time to attempt to try to come to terms with their loss.

“In time details will be shared with regards funeral arrangements but we request that anyone who witnessed anything leading up to the collision last evening, please contact Cheshire Police to share what you saw to help them, but above all help us fully understand what happened.”
