Two men charged after nearly 150 cannabis plants found in Crewe area Date published: 27th June 2019 8.45am

Two men have been charged after a large number of cannabis plants were found at an address in the Crewe area.

Besnik Gjashi and Ilirjan Hasani, both of no fixed address, were arrested after police officers executed a warrant on Valley Road, Wistaston, at around 3.20am yesterday, Wednesday 26 June.

The officers seized nearly 150 cannabis plants and a quantity of cash.

Gjashi, 32, and Hasani, 23, have both since been charged with producing a controlled drug of class B (cannabis).

They appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 27 June.

The pair were remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Thursday 25 July.
