Two men sentenced for drug dealing in Sandbach Date published: 6th October 2016 10.48am

Two men are behind bars after being convicted of selling drugs in Sandbach following a Cheshire Police investigation.

Luke Sinclair, 27, from Crewe Road in Sandbach, and Ryan Marchant, 23, from Holly Grove in Tabley were both convicted of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs at an earlier hearing. On 30 September they were sentenced at Chester Crown Court to three years and two months, and 12 months imprisonment respectively.

DI Sharon Case the officer heading up the investigation said: “Through our investigation we discovered that the pair used the address in the quiet village of Wheelock as a base for their drug supply network, supplying drugs to users across the area.

“Officers raided the flat in March 2016. Cocaine with a street value of £15,000 was recovered, along with £1,000 worth of Cannabis and several hundred pounds in cash which was concealed in the address”

Police continued to make enquiries and in June 2016, both Sinclair and Marchant were charged with Possession with Intent to Supply Cocaine and Cannabis and went on to face trial, consequently being sentenced at the end of September.

DI Case, said: “We recognise that illegal drugs are a blight on our communities and have a negative impact on family life. We are determined to disrupt drug dealing activities to rid the communities of the minority of people who supply drugs.”

Cheshire Police would urge anyone with concerns about people who may be supplying drugs to contact them on 101 or in confidence by crime stoppers 0800 555 111.
