Cheshire Constabulary has had a busy first 24 hours policing the Creamfields festival.
As of earlier today, officers had made 28 arrests as part of the ongoing policing operation at the Daresbury site. Of those, 22 were for drug supply offences, and two were for drugs possession. Other arrests have been made for carrying an offensive weapon (two arrests), an assault and a man who was wanted by colleagues at Police Scotland.
Officers will remain on-site throughout the weekend as part of an extensive operation designed to keep people safe and uphold the law where applicable.
While police want festivalgoers to enjoy themselves, they are reminded to do so safely and within the law, whilst also being respectful of the wider community.
