Warrington woman charged with assaulting two police officers Date published: 25th February 2019 3.18pm

A woman from Warrington has been charged with assaulting two police officers in the town.

Gemma Dunn, of Greenwood Crescent, Winwick, was arrested shortly after 7.30pm on Thursday 21 February following an incident at The Stonemill pub on Sandy Lane West.

A Police Constable sustained a head injury as a result of the incident and another PC suffered a hand injury.

They were both treated in hospital and have since been discharged.

Dunn has subsequently been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to resist/prevent arrest, assaulting a person and occasioning them actual bodily harm, causing criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 and a public order offence.

The 34-year-old appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 23 February.

She was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday 25 March.
