With more than 3,300 employees working for the Constabulary, our officers and staff help and support our communities every single day.
To give you a better understanding of how we do this, we want you to meet the people behind the uniform who are proud to serve the people of Cheshire.
The seventh person we're focusing on is Anna Collins
Anna Collins has been with the organisation for more than 13 years and currently works as the Engagement Manager.
In her spare time Anna is a keen horse rider, regularly taking part in endurance competitions across the country. Earlier this year Anna decided show her passion for horse riding by becoming a mounted volunteer.
Anna said: “As a mounted volunteer and member of horse watch, I play a role in the wider policing family. Whilst out riding my horse, you would be surprised what I can see over hedges as I amble along at an inauspicious pace and people don’t wonder what I am doing. Whilst out riding I’m well placed to act as the eyes and ears of the rural community.
“I receive regular updates on crime affecting the equestrian and rural communities and whilst I don’t feel that I have to make any special effort, I am better informed and ready to report anything suspicious that I see to the police.
“I am proud to be a volunteer for Cheshire Constabulary because I can make a difference whilst out enjoying the company of my horse.”
